Boating Course - Canadian Study Guide

.
Did you know? As of September 15, 2009 all boaters in Canada are required to have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card in order to operate a powered watercraft.

One of the questions that we are constantly asked is "How do I go about obtaining my Operator card?" and "What do I need to know in order to pass the exam?" The answer is simple!

Step 1. Study the Canadian - Safe Boating Guide

Here is a Free Study Guide (please wait 30 sec for the page to load) which contains all of the information as published by the Government of Canada including the knowledge required to take the exam and obtain the Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operator Card. After you have Read the Material you should proceed to Step 2 Below.

Remember all boat operators in Canada must have a Boat Operator Card or they risk expensive fines. There is no minimum age to get certified and no age exemption. The length of the boat does not matter anymore, or the size of the engine.

Step 2 - Visit a Transport Canada accredited safe boating course provider and Write your Exam.
